The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) is located on the third floor of Wallace Hall (Room 362). Faculty are involved in teaching, research and extension activities in the area of hospitality and tourism management. There are approximately 700 students currently enrolled in the program.
Students in our programs become prepared for management positions in the hospitality industry. The broad and growing field of hospitality, including travel and tourism, is one of the world's largest industries!
The employment outlook is optimistic and our area is often estimated to be first in contribution to the U.S. Gross National Product.
Hospitality and Tourism Management graduates have been sought after by Hyatt, Marriott, Red Lobster, Walt Disney, Hilton, Houston's, casinos, resorts, cruise liners, Promus, Olive Garden, and ARAMARK, among others. Our department offers an International Exchange Program with several countries.
