HTM Program Restriction
Effective Tuesday, May 26, 2009
By action of the University Provost, the Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) major in the College of Business will have restricted academic program status beginning the first day of Summer Session I: May 26, 2009. Upon that date, students who wish to apply to transfer into HTM from University Studies or another college at Virginia Tech will be required to submit an application that will be competitively reviewed for acceptance.
Criteria for submitting an application:
- Successful completion of ACIS 1504, ECON 2005, and MATH 1525-1526 (or equivalent).
- Minimum overall GPA of 2.0.
- Combined minimum GPA of 2.5 in MATH 1525-1526 and all ACIS, ECON, and BIT lower division courses attempted.
- Competitive GPA and space available.
