Career Opportunities
Upon completion of the graduate degree, many career options are available. Opportunities include middle management and staff positions in medium and large corporations. Since the course of study emphasizes general principles of management and decision making as applied to the hotel, restaurant, tourism and foodservice industries, it also affords career opportunities in organizations and corporations engaged in activities other than direct operations management. Consulting, manufactoring, and information technology firms recruit our students.
Most PH.D. graduates pursue academic careers. The department currently has Ph.D. graduates serving as faculty members, department heads and deans at over 50 universities worldwide.
